Toon Kit Collector
If you’re a Newcastle United fan there’s a new spot in town for you. Tucked away inside the beautiful Central Arcade a short walk from Monument, Toon Kit Collector has just opened and it’s every retro football fan’s dream.
I photographed its official opening event and it was a total nostalgia trip. From classic black-and-white home shirts to some of the best away kits from over the decades, every rack is packed with history. Plus it sells original bucket hats, made from Newcastle kits, and its own brand of Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali t-shirts.
If you’re passing through town, whether on matchday or just out for a wander, pop in. Chat with owner Adam, check out the stock, and maybe pick up a shirt you haven’t seen since the Sir Bobby days.
